TheatreOne’s reading of Flow examines questions about artistic inspiration and what the balance is between commerce and art.
Flow, by Robert Garfat, is part of the theatre company’s Emerging Voices series. It examines the life of a painter named Imogene, who is in her fifties and is creating a piece for an international show.
As the play progresses the audience learns more about her life’s turmoil, her husband’s political ambitions and her estranged younger brother who has a lurid secret.
Garry Davey directs the performance that stars local actors Norma Bowen, Catherine Caines, Adrian Hough and Paul Tedeschini.
The reading is Wednesday (Jan. 16) at the Coast Bastion Inn, 7:30 p.m. Admission is by donation.
