The Comox Valley Art Gallery will celebrate Valentine’s Day this Friday with live screen printing of ROOT LOVE tee-shirts, all ages-community make art stations, and discounts at SHOP:MADE.

Gabrielle Moore-Pratt will lead the live screen printing from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bring your own shirt, or other garment, or buy a tee-shirt on site.

Throughout the day SHOP:MADE will provide 10 per cent discounts on all items, and 15 per cent discounts to CVAG members.

There are two all-ages make art stations at the Gallery, where everyone is invited to paint or draw their own response to the current convergent program IN THE WATER.

As part of the WATER (re)SOURCE community incubator, the public is invited to bring samples of water from a source that is special to them, along with a note or drawing about why the source of water is significant to them.

People are also invited to participate in the ROOT LOVE community incubator and exhibition. Bring non-invasive plant cuttings to the gallery for rooting in water in the living wall installation in the CVAG window gallery. In exchange, you can take home rooted plants from the Gallery.

The IN THE WATER convergent program runs at CVAG until Feb. 29. For details visit www.comoxvalleyartgallery.com
