Courtenay musicians Granville Airton, Steve and Viv Ruskin, Scott Lyle and Lainie Laughlin perform as 5Play, a fun-loving band with an eclectic repertoire.

They deliver a mix of old jazz standards, blues, swing, contemporary folk and a liberal sprinkling of original tunes. With keyboards, guitar, mandolin, electric and standup bass and percussion, they share lead vocals and harmonies throughout their performances.

5Play will appear at the Sierra Spring Fling on the Estuary, a benefit for the Sierra Club Comox Valley, on April 9 at the Comox Band Hall at 3320 Comox Road.

Admission to the event — which also features sweet and savory food and drink, games of skill and a silent auction – is $15 at the door.
