Radio host/author joins writer festival lineup

SALMON ARM — The lineup for the Shuswap Writers’ Festival has just been enriched with the addition of Grant Lawrence.

Grant is a well-known CBC radio personality and winner of the Bill Duthie Booksellers’ Choice Award for his recent book, Adventures in Solitude: What Not to Wear to a Nude Potluck and Other Stories from Desolation Sound.

Grant will give a workshop on The End – A Writer’s Guide on Reaching the Finish Line. Some of the topics he’ll talk about include dealing with rejection, and turning what he was told was a “terrible idea” into a national bestseller.

Grant joins other well-known authors William Deverell, Michael Slade, Angie Abdou, Nancy Warren, Deanna Kawatski, John Pass, Theresa Kishkan, Wendy Phillips, Annabel Lyon and Evelyn Lau at the festival, May 27 to 29.
