Penticton’s Summer Carnival is back.
Shooting Star Amusements will be in Rotary Park from Aug. 4 to 15.
After having to cancel last year’s carnival because of the pandemic, the mobile midway company is glad to be back bringing rides and games to the area.
The amusement park will be open weekdays from 5 to 10 p.m. and weekends from noon to 10 p.m.
Shooting Star Amusements is a Canadian mobile midway company that travels throughout B.C. featuring rides, games, cotton candy and snow cones. The Carnival has classic rides from the bumper cars, berry-go-round to the Zipper, Ferris wheel and the Sizzler.
Normally, the ride carnival is attached the Peach Festival’s five days of fun.
This year, there will be a mini Peach Fest Aug. 7 in Gyro Park featuring Canadian Tire Mega Motocross, dancers, entertainment, concerts and Peach Fest Royalty.
