Langford musician Peter Willing has recorded an album of rock and roll and blues children’s music, an idea inspired by his grandson, Oliver, and Willing’s desire to make an album both parents and children can enjoy.
“I didn’t want to do rinky-dinky stuff that would drive the parents crazy,” he said. “So it’s really based on my history of music, which is rock and roll and R&B.”
Willing is launching Rockin’ Out with Ollie at Club 9ONE9 in the Strathcona Hotel this Saturday (May 10) from 3 to 5 p.m. The show is all ages.
The event is a fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club of Victoria, with $5 from every CD sold going to the club.
