Samm Moore grew up in the Alberni Valley and has recently discovered her love of this amazing medium. Samm will be showcasing her collection of pyrography in her first-ever, self-titled art exhibit. This exhibit will run until Feb 2.

BEER AND BURGER FUNDRAISER
The Community Arts Council is holding a FUNdraiser at the Blue Marlin. Join us for an evening of burgers, beer and friends. Friday, March 2 from 5-8 pm. Tickets are available at the Rollin Art Centre for $15.
A TRIBUTE TO JOHNNY CASH
David James & Big River, A Johnny Cash Tribute band will be coming to Port Alberni on Saturday, Feb. 24, at 7:30 pm at the ADSS Auditorium. Tickets are available at the Rollin Art Centre for $35. Doors open at 6:30 pm.
BOOK DONATIONS
The Rollin Art Centre will be accepting all your gently used books starting Feb 1. for their annual book sale in May. We are very grateful for all your books, but cannot take ANY textbooks, magazines, National Geographic, encyclopedias or Reader’s Digest. Our book sorters then in turn have to take these items to the landfill.
So please, drop off donations (newer books only) at the Rollin Art Centre, inside the main door just under the staircase in the BIG wooden box. As this is one of the Community Arts Council’s biggest fundraisers, we appreciate all your donations. DRAW GALLERY
Life Drawing Sessions – ‘Open Studio’ continues each week. Featuring live model figure drawing, artists gather together to paint, sketch or sculpt from different live models. All young and older artists are welcome. We meet every Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The fees are $6.50 for teens and $12.50 for adults. Participants can also pre-register for five sessions for a fee of $60. Space is limited. Call Astrid at 724-2056 and book your spot.
