The Royal Coachman Neighbourhood Pub continues its Sunday jazz series with Jeff Drummond – a guitarist, composer, producer and engineer.

Throughout a career that has spanned two decades and explored several musical genres, he has toured North America and The United Kingdom as bandleader and freelance guitarist for many groups.

He has also appeared on high-profile national television/radio programs and garnered countless recording credits for radio, CD, TV and film.

On stage or in the studio, Drummond has worked in one (or many) roles with countless highly acclaimed artists.  Drummond has worked as bandleader, guitarist and primary composer for the groove-based jazz trio Sinistrio and also has served as engineer and co-producer for all four of the groups CDs.

Their latest release, The Perfect Human, spent six weeks at number one on the earshot Canadian jazz charts and the album was nominated for Best Instrumental Album at the Western Canadian Music Awards in 2014.

Drummond’s latest CD project released in Jan 2015 – Drummond & Hyde: Spoondrift – was recorded at Dove Creek Studios in the Comox Valley and is comprised of mostly originals penned by Drummond and bassist John Hyde.

Drummond will be playing traditional jazz standards and music fused with various other influences in a solo performance at The Royal Coachman this Sunday afternoon from 1 to 4 p.m.
