Salmon survival topic for documentary

There will be a special Earth Day screening of the film The Breach at Maple Ridge City Hall.

The documentary follows filmmaker Mark Titus’s four-year journey to discover where the Pacific wild salmon have gone and what will bring them back.

The Breach has won Best International Feature Documentary 2014 at the Galway Film Festival in Ireland and the Best of the Fest selection at the 2015 Palm Springs International Film Festival.

The film will be put on by Cinema Politica Ridge Meadows in partnership with Citizens against Urban Sprawl, Footprint Press and The Wild Salmon Defenders Alliance.

The screening takes place on at 6:30 p.m. on April 20 at Maple Ridge City Hall council chambers at 11995 Haney Place.

It is a free all-ages event.
