March 5-23 – UFV Theatre presents a contemporary version of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet at UFV’s Performance Theatre (45635 Yale Rd.). The production runs March 5 to 23 at UFV’s Performance Theatre at 45635 Yale Road (at Airport Road). March 8 to April 17 – Local artist Marie McGill brings her solo exhibition, British Columbia Inspirations, to the Chambers Gallery at the Chilliwack Museum March 8 to April 17. Now to March 8 – Planes + Characters is an art exhibition on display at the Art Gallery in the Cultural Centre until March 8. Paintings are by local artists Sandra Wiens and Pierre Tremblay. Gallery hours: Wednesdays to Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m., plus some evenings before theatre performances.
Now to March 13 – The annual Chilliwack Lions Club Music and Dance Festival runs Feb. 4 to March 13 with dance and music performances at the Cultural Centre, and band performances at G.W. Graham theatre. The festival wraps up with a Music Honours Performance April 4.
