April 25 to June 1 – The annual District 33 Art exhibit is on display at the Arty Gallery in the Cultural Centre April 25 to June 1. The show features artwork by local high school students. Opening reception is Saturday, April 27 from 1-3 p.m. Gallery hours: Wednesdays to Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m., plus some evenings during shows in the theatre.

April 27 – The Yarrow Ecovillage Community Farm is holding its Barn Dance tonight at 42312 Yarrow Central Rd. The dance features string band Greenwood. May 1 to June 2 – The Chilliwack Visual Artists Association presents Celebration of the Arts at the Royal Hotel (45886 Wellington Ave.). The lobby, café and homestead room will be transformed for the month of May with a free exhibit of original and creative paintings and art pieces in a variety of media. The exhibit is open Sundays to Tuesdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Wednesdays to Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
