June 22 – The Love for Lilee concert featuring Andrew Christopher is tonight at The Well in Chances Community Gaming Centre from 8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The event is a fundraiser for two-year-old Lilee-Jean who is living with brain cancer. A percentage of food/drink sales made at The Well during the event will be donated towards Love for Lilee. June 23 – The 11th annual Village Classic Car Show is today from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Head to downtown Chilliwack (Five Corners and surrounding area) to see more than 300 classic cars on display. There will also be live entertainment. This is a family-friendly, free event. www.downtownchilliwack.com
June 24 – Wanda’s Tea Dance is today from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Lion’s Hall (45580 Spadina Ave.) with music by Sweetwater. There will also be refreshments, door prizes, and a 50/50 draw. Bring a donation of dog food or cat food and receive a ticket for the gift basket draw (value $75). Dance tickets are $6 at the door.
June 25 – Herta Stoffels presents An Evening of Music featuring performances by current and former students at 7:30 p.m. at Cooke’s Presbyterian Church. Donations will be accepted to support the Harold Cressy High School of Capetown, South Africa.
May 1 to Oct. 2 – The Eco Market runs every Wednesday evening (4 to 8 p.m.) at Sardis Park from now to Oct. 2. The market features local artists, live music, fresh food and more. The market’s juried artisans offer works in a variety of media including glass, textiles and fibre arts, wood, ceramics, jewelry, painting, drawing, photography, basketry, recycled and mixed media and metalwork. All work is handmade by the artist who is on site.

June 10 to Aug. 10 – The eighth annual Friends of the Chilliwack Library Photo Contest runs June 10 to Aug. 10. Photos must have been taken in the Fraser Valley between September 2012 and August 2013. Amateur photographers from Chilliwack, Sardis, Yarrow and Agassiz can enter.
