Now to July 6 – The Chilliwack Players’ Guild presents British Pub Nights, A Bit of the Other from June 27 to July 6 at the Cultural Centre. Now to Aug. 10 – The eighth annual Friends of the Chilliwack Library Photo Contest runs June 10 to Aug. 10. Photos must have been taken in the Fraser Valley between September 2012 and August 2013. Amateur photographers from Chilliwack, Sardis, Yarrow and Agassiz can enter. Now to Oct. 2 – The Eco Market runs every Wednesday evening (4 to 8 p.m.) at Sardis Park from now to Oct. 2. The market features local artists, live music, fresh food and more. The market’s juried artisans offer works in a variety of media including glass, textiles and fibre arts, wood, ceramics, jewelry, painting, drawing, photography, basketry, recycled and mixed media and metalwork. All work is handmade by the artist who is on site.

June 6 to July 18 – Penticton artist Peggy Stel has an exhibit, Pieces Within, on display at the Chilliwack Museum from now until July 18. Hours: Mondays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 604-795-5210.

June 6 to July 20 – The Chilliwack Visual Artists Association presents Abstract in Action by Nasser Ghaderi from June 6 to July 20 in the Art Gallery at the Cultural Centre. Gallery hours are Wednesdays to Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m.

July 5 to Aug. 23 – Downtown Chilliwack’s popular Party in the Park is held every Friday night of the summer from July 5 to Aug. 23. Live music hits the entertainment stage from 6 to 10 p.m., kids can hang out at the family fun zone from 6 to 8:30 p.m., and an expanded night market will be from 6 to 10 p.m. The concerts take place at Central Community Park, and the vendors line the streets of Wellington Avenue and Mill Street.

July 6 to 14 – The 35th annual Harrison Festival of the Arts returns to Harrison Hot Springs July 6 to 14. The event features music and entertainment nightly, plus activities, workshops, the Art Market, and more on both weekends. Sign up now for summer art classes offered by the Chilliwack Arts Council. Classes for kids aged 3 to 12 include arts, crafts, cooking and drama. Classes run throughout the summer and begin in July.
