April 3/7 – Dutch musical duo Liselotte Rokyta on pan flute, and organist André Knevel, will be performing two concerts in Chilliwack. April 8-10 – A.D. Rundle middle school theatre presents Sinister Stories and Toxic Tales April 8 to 10 at the school (45660 Hocking Ave.). This student written original play explores the world of fairy tales through an often dark humour. Tickets: $3/students, $5/adults. Note: Play contains dark themes. Not recommended for children under 12.
April 9 – The Chilliwack International Film Series runs April 2 to May 7 at Cottonwood 4 Cinemas, featuring six movies over six weeks. Films are screened Wednesdays at 7 p.m. at Cottonwood 4 Cinemas. Tonight’s movie is The Lunchbox; India, France, Germany; Hindi-subtitled; English; 104 min; PG; comedy, drama. Tickets $6 at the door.
Now to April 17 – Local artist Marie McGill brings her solo exhibition, British Columbia Inspirations, to the Chambers Gallery at the Chilliwack Museum March 8 to April 17. Gallery hours are Mondays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission $3/adults and $2/seniors and students.
Now to April 26 – Unexpected Garden features paintings and constructions by Ross Bollerup at the Art Gallery in the Cultural Centre from March 13 to April 26. Gallery hours: Wednesdays to Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m., plus some evenings during theatre performances.
