Aug. 28 – Southside Rocks the River, a free outdoor music series on the grass, takes place from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Tonight’s lineup is The Chillbillies, Relic’s Jetboat, The Mud Sharks 3, Hot Rod Gurl, and Jason Guill. The stage will be set up in a field near the Vedder Rotary Trail parking lot. Enter the parking lot from Vedder Road, and the concert set up will be located just to the right of it.
Aug. 28 – The Sky Family will be performing their Celtic dance and gospel production Celtic Revival at 7 p.m. at St. Thomas Anglican Church (46048 Gore Ave.). Fast-paced fiddle music and high-energy Irish dance combined with humour and inspiration makes a joy filled, toe-tapping time for the whole family. Suggested donation $10 for adults, $5 for children.
Aug. 29/30 – The Vedder Golden Branch 280 has live music with dancing from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. every Friday and Saturday. This weekend it’s The ValleyFyre Band.
Aug. 30/31 – The Harrison Craft Market takes place this weekend at Harrison Memorial Hall. This cozy indoor market offers the highest quality of locally produced, naturally inspired handmade products amidst a delightful dose of small town atmosphere. Sept. 2/3 – The Chilliwack Players Guild is holding auditions for its upcoming production of On Golden Pond.
