Aug. 8 to 10 – Chilliwack’s Spirit of the People Powwow runs Aug. 8 to 10 at Tzeachten Sports Field. Grand Entry times are 7 p.m. Friday, 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, and noon on Sunday. The event includes a traditional salmon barbecue, crafts, food, costumes, drumming and dancing. Admission $2 per day, or $5 for the weekend. Aug. 9 to Sept. 26. – Photographer and writer Margaret Evans presents an exploration of the 50-million year evolution of horses in North America with her solo exhibition Horses From the Mists of Time at the Chilliwack Museum Aug. 9 to Sept. 26. Aug. 13 – Music and More takes place every Wednesday evening from July 2 to Aug. 27 featuring music, entertainment, arts and crafts, theatre and more at both the Chilliwack Library (5-7 p.m.) and the Sardis Library (4-6 p.m.) on alternating Wednesdays. Tonight’s event is at the Chilliwack Library and features the Chilliwack Museum and Archives, Uke Club, and Curbside Traditional Jazz.
