March 8 – Hamelin: A New Fable takes to the Cultural Centre stage at 2 p.m. in a marvellous mix of masks, dance, puppets, sing-a-long musical numbers, and audience participation. Now to March 15 – The UFV theatre department presents Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare March 4 to 15 with evening performances at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m., as well as school matinees at noon. Now to March 28 – Robert Harms has his solo exhibition, Art in Harms Way, in the Art Gallery at the Cultural Centre Feb. 19 to March 28. Gallery hours are noon to 5 p.m. Wednesdays to Saturday, plus some show evenings. Free admission.

Now to December – The Sí:tel Coast Salish Baskets exhibition is on display in the Chambers Gallery at the Chilliwack Museum until December. Museum hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. Admission $3/general and $2/seniors and students.

The Evergreen Artist Group invites anyone who loves to paint or draw to join them on Monday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to noon weekly at Evergreen Hall. They have room for one more artist. Contact Wynne at 604-392-5599 for more info.

The Chilliwack Symphony Orchestra chorus has immediate openings for soprano singers and male tenors in preparation for its April 11 performance.
