Singer/musician to perform amid gallery art in Langley

The next First Thursday community arts event is May 4.

Original tunes and some favourite cover songs will be offered at the First Thursday event May 4.

On the first Thursday of each month, The Fort Gallery hosts a variety of visual artists, writers and poets, and musicians from the area. Next Thursday features musician Julie Cutting of Maple Ridge.

She plays a variety of folk, jazz and blues music, with her own particular twist to some great standards. A simple guitar style backs voice.

Also featured at this month’s First Thursday, which will be held in conjunction with the opening reception for the current exhibit Proximity and Distance, is the gallery’s own Lisa Nickel together with fellow artist Joy Munt, who will talk about their work.

The Township provides sponsorship of First Thursday community arts events.
