Singers and spoken word artists perform at Harbour City Theatre

NANAIMO - Word craft artisans performs in Nanaimo at Harbour City Theatre Thursday (May 19) at 7 p.m.

The word craft event 15 Minutes of Infamy returns to Nanaimo Thursday (May 19) at the Harbour City Theatre at 7 p.m. Admission is $5.

Songsters and word craft artisans are gathering to share their work during 15 Minutes of Infamy.

After a successful first line-up held in April, the producers are bringing another group of artists to the stage.

“We are excited to offer an opportunity to share our elective collection of curated musicians, poets and writers in downtown Nanaimo this May through July,” said Carla Stein, event co-producer.

The show is being held Thursday (May 19) at 7 p.m. at Harbour City Theatre, located at 25 Victoria Rd. Admission is $5 at the door and refreshments are available by donation.

The two-hour evening performance features eight artists, each are taking the stage for 15 minutes each.

Performers are Raymond Wade, a songwriter and guitarists; Justin McGrail, spoken-word poet; Jenny Vester;  presents her show Tsk Tsk Revue; Judith Hutchison, a regular participant of Word on Fire; Bobbi Schram, a singer-songwriter; Stephen Novik, a poet; Kirsty Elliott, a poet and Shelley Leedahl, poet.
