Two artistically-inclined sisters are reuniting in the North Okanagan this weekend for their fifth annual painting workshop.
Siblings Roxanne Frazer Audet, visiting from Paris, France, and Armstrong’s Jamie Frazer are sharing their respective styles and expertise for a fun-filled afternoon open to both the novice and the proficient painter.
“The workshop is open to everyone, regardless of experience,” said Frazer, who will concentrate on acrylics, while Audet will share her knowledge of watercolours.
Frazer’s paintings have adorned walls, floors, businesses, and homes. A graduate of the Vancouver School of Art (Emily Carr) and Kwantlen College, she says her impressionistic style interprets everything around her, from loose landscapes to fanciful floras, and her uninhibited and invigorating teaching methods reflect her irreverent approach to art.
Audet’s design work includes private and public projects such as the Kodak head office and the Canadian embassy in Tokyo, Japan. She also organizes an annual art show for Canadian women living in Paris, held at the Canadian Cultural Centre.
Specializing in watercolour painting, Audet studied the method with Francoise Gabelier in Paris, and her unique approach includes the use of calligraphy ink.
