Chris Francisque is an actor living in Cloverdale.

An award-winning Cloverdale actor is taking the stage for a theatre production in the Tri-Cities area next week.

Chris Francisque is appearing in the comedy Five Women Wearing the Same Dress, presented by Stage43 Theatrical Society at the Evergreen Cultural Centre April 28-30, May 1, and May 4-7.

It’s the second time Francisque has appeared in a Stage43 show. He was last seen as Tony in Men are Dogs.

Surrey Little Theatre audiences may remember him from Truth and Reconciliation, where he played Cesar Santos, a role that earned him a CTC award for best supporting actor.

Five Women Wearing the Same Dress, written by Alan Ball, is directed by Angel Bell.

It’s set at a ridiculously overdone wedding reception, where five bridesmaids – Christie Kin, Jill Menkveld, Emily Hamel-Brisson, Ashley Sutton and Paige Farbacher – hide out in an upstairs bedroom.

Although they’re wearing identical dresses, each woman has her own reason for avoiding the proceedings below. As the champagne flows and the afternoon wears on, the women discover none of them really likes the bride, leading these very different women to discover they share more in common than expected.
