Songs for Sebastian: Who is Barbossa played at the Paramount with Sue Medley and others in support of a fundraiser for Sebastian Coban on Oct. 16 in an event Andrew Davis (Rockdog) from Jet FM put together. The event raised just over $2000. Picture above is Who is Barbossa (Jacob Storback, Kyell Erickson, Mitchell Roberston, Colin Massie), with Sue Medley and keyboardist John Mang. Sebastian Coban was born May 26, 2012 with a rare medical condition which has lead to four months in the hospital. He has undergone numerous medical procedures since being diagnosed with Dandy walker variant, facial palsy, pharyngeal web and micrognathia. In those four months his parents have had to move twice and both have not worked. This is their first child and although they expected having a child to be costly but with transportation every day to the hospital, food, bills and every other cost that comes with living it has become very expensive. With Sebastian’s return home coming up soon his parents have come to realize that all the equipment may not be covered and they will have medical bills coming our way. Sebastian’s great uncle Jon Storback says the family has tried to do this on their own for so long and now the costs are starting to outweigh the income that is coming in.
