The sweet sounds of Soundscape will be heard at Mission’s Fraser River Heritage Park on Friday (June 10) at 7 p.m. as the Envision Financial Twilight Concert series continues.
Soundscape is making its debut at the concert series, and although they hail from Surrey, there will be some familiar faces on the risers as a number of Mission residents have been chorus members for many years.
Soundscape is a mixed-voice, auditioned amateur community chorus in its 20th year, with singers of all ages and experience who live in many areas of Metro Vancouver.
The group sings exclusively a cappella and its repertoire consists primarily of popular songs from different eras, with some great show tunes, jazz standards and the occasional novelty song.
On Wednesday, June 15, the Borderline Band will take to the Twilight stage.
The band has been extremely busy in the last few months playing at various community events and social gatherings. This will be the group’s first appearance in Fraser River Heritage Park. The band consists of seasoned musical veterans who are bound to have the crowd up on their feet and dancing.
Concerts run every Wednesday and Friday at 7 p.m. rain or shine. Bring a blanket, a lawn chair and sit back and enjoy live music in a lively park setting.
