The next show in the Storyteller Series at the McMillan Arts Centre features an experienced Celtic storyteller from Vancouver this Friday, April 26.
Mary Gavan will be presenting Ghosts of the Glen: Stories linking ghosts of the glans past to the people of B.C. today.
Gavan grew up spending her winters in Scotland and her summers in Ireland, listening to stories from her grandparents and country folk. Soon she began telling her own stories, at festivals and joining storyteller groups in other European countries.

Today Gavan tells stories across Canada and is past president of the national Storytellers of Canada-Counteurs du Canada. Gavan is the Treasurer of the Vancouver Monthly Storytelling as well as a regular teller in and around Vancouver. She has a CD called Celtic Otherworld Stories, available on her website www.marycelticstory.ca.
The show at the MAC starts at 7:30 p.m. and admission is $5 at the door.
