Some favourite groups are back as Sunfest announces its “second wave” of performers for the four-day country music festival

Music fans are noting that some favourite groups are back as Sunfest announces its “second wave” of performers for the four-day country music festival, set to open at Laketown Ranch, west of Lake Cowichan on July 28.

Among the returnees for Sunfest 2016 are Me & Mae, Bucko & Toad, Quoia, Wooden Horsemen, The Tumblin’ Dice and Row of Crowz, who will be hitting the big stage for the first time this year.

In addition, there’s Autumn Hill, Raquel Cole, Dirty Mountain, Danielle Marie, Ben Klick, Steph MacPherson, Dave Hartney, Cash Crawford, The County Line, the Lance Lapointe Band, Aaron Anderson, She Could Be Trouble, Ajaye Jardine and Jaimey Hamilton. An extra in the lineup is tribute band Completely Creedence, who thrilled a capacity crowd at the Cowichan Performing Arts Centre earlier this spring.

Sunfest will post a full schedule as festival time gets closer. See sunfestconcerts.com for ticket information.
