The last Tales of the Telling program of the season will celebrate the working life on May 6 at the McMillan Arts Centre.

The special Mayworks program will feature two storytellers and a local musician. The show, called All in a Day’s Work, will have Mary Gavan of the Vancouver Storytellers joining Marva Blackmore to share special moments from the work-a-day world, some funny, some not-so-funny, and some just plain fun.

The two will be joined by songwriter and singer Gerry Barnum who will celebrate the working life in song.  Barnum is a seasoned performer with diverse experience in festivals, coffeehouses, house concerts, theatres and studios. Tickets are $10 at the door or can be purchased in advance at the McMillan Arts Centre which is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This show is a departure from the series’ usual night on the fourth Friday of the month.

The next show will return to the MAC on Friday, October 24.
