A celebrated and locally-loved musician from Victoria will bring tangos from all over the world to The Old School House in Qualicum Beach this Sunday.
Tony Booker is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, choir master as well as an educator at the UVic School of Music.
He will be playing the piano and accordion as well as singing this weekend, accompanied by Kate Rhodes on violin and Alex Olson on bass.
Rhodes was previously in the Victoria Symphony Orchestra, among other groups, as was Olson.
The trio, called Tony Booker Tango Trio, will blend music from Eastern Europe, with Russian and Argentinean Tangos for a mix of classical, gypsy, folk and dance music.
Enjoy the Tony Booker Tango Trio this Sunday, Jan. 30 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at The Old School House in Qualicum Beach. Tickets are $16.
