Oct. 1 — Juno nominated and Western Canadian Music Award winners The Bills bring their new album Trail of Tales to the Dream Café.
Oct. 7 — Kenny Blues Boss Wayne and his band are performing at the Venables Theatre. Proceeds of the concert will benefit the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Oct. 8 — Internationally renowned singer/songwriter/recording artist Elizabeth MacInnes and Trefor Gonzales (Acoustical Endevors) play old and new rock and roll and other genres for dancing from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Penticton Legion. Thanksgiving dinner will be served. $10 per person. Tickets are available at the door.
Oct. 15 — Vancouver pop-punkers Sightlines come to the Saint-Germain Café and Gallery. Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door. Show is at 7 p.m.
Oct. 16 — Spend the night with Alice Cooper at the South Okanagan Events Centre.
Oct. 19 — Slayer with special guests Anthrax and Death Angel come to the South Okanagan Events Centre.
Oct. 22 — Lorne Elliott will present his newest comedy show at the Venables Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $35, $15 for students. Purchase at venablestheatre.ca or at the box office.
Nov. 11 — Canadian rock royalty, The Trews, bring their Time Capsule tour to the Mule Nightclub.
Nov. 17 — Bryan Adams brings The Get Up tour to the South Okanagan Events Centre.

Sept. 30-Oct. 1 — The Downtown Penticton Association is hosting a Fall Fair in Gyro Park. Entertainment from 4 to 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 30 and noon to 5 p.m. on Oct. 1. Hay maze and pumpkin patch, petting zoo and pony rides, carnival games and a beverage garden.
Oct. 1 — The 557 Artist Block is holding one last party before closing the doors. Admission by donation.
Oct. 1 — The Summerland Arts & Culture Centre is hosting an open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A welcome and cake cutting is taking place at 1 p.m. Meet some of the arts council member groups and celebrate Culture Days. Event is taking place at 9525 Wharton St. in Summerland.
Oct. 5 — The Mental Wellness Centre and B.C. Schizophrenia Society Penticton branch are hosting a fundraising event at the Penticton Lakeside Resort. Dancing to Defeat Mental Illness includes music by Gary Leggott Jazz Ensemble, silent auction and a pasta dinner. $30 per ticket, event starts at 6:30 p.m.
Oct. 8 — Rock October Fest featuring the rock stylings of TR2 at the Naramata Pub. No cover and the event runs from 8 p.m. to midnight.
