Oct. 12 — Aidan Mayes will be performing at the Cobblestone Wine Bar and Restaurant at the Naramata Heritage Inn and Spa.
Oct. 12 — Touring behind his 19th studio release, 6 Volts, Fred Eaglesmith is at the Dream Café.
Oct. 13 — Sarah Hagen is giving a piano recital at 2 p.m. in Saint Saviour’s Anglican Church. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for seniors and free for children 12 and under. Purchase at Hooked On Books or the church office.
Oct. 17 — A blend of folk, hip hop, swing, jazz, rock and electronic; Dirty Grace is performing at Voodoo’s at 8 p.m.
Oct. 18 — Johnny Cash in concert by tribute artist Gary Kehoe. All proceeds will go towards Grandmothers For Africa to assist HIV-AIDS orphaned grandchildren via the Stephen Lewis Foundation. Oct. 19 — Mad Melody Records is proud to present the very first album release. The 14 track compilation album entitled Follow us Through the Madness, will be available on CD, digital purchase and at the release party at Voodoo’s. Artists take the stage at 7 p.m. Every MMR artist will perform their featured tracks, plus a full length set. Admission will be by donation and CDs will be $15.
Oct. 20 — With a raw, gritty and unique voice and a recent international songwriting award, singer/pianist Declan O’Donovan performs at Voodoo’s with special guest Michael Musclow.

Oct. 23 — Electronic dance music DJ/Producer Borgore at The Mule. Tickets $20.
Nov. 2 — Experience the Beatles with Rain, direct from their phenomenally successful Broadway engagement. Rain is at the South Okanagan Events Centre, for one show at 8 p.m.
Nov. 2 — Stunning soprano, Tracy Fehr, opens the South Okanagan Concert Society season at the Oliver Alliance Church.
Jan. 26 — Canadian country musician Dean Brody brings his Dirt Tour to the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre. Tickets are $39.50 and available at the Penticton & Wine Country Visitors Centre or at www.ValleyFirstTix.com.
Feb.1 — Eric Church The Blood, Sweat & Tears tour comes to Penticton at the South Okanagan Events Centre.

Until Oct. 26 — Artists of the South Okanagan Similkameen present their inaugural show at Nk’Mip Cellars in Osoyoos. Gallery open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
Oct. 14 — Goh Ballet at the Cleland Theatre at 2 p.m. as part of the Children’s Showcase. Tickets are $12.
Oct. 14 — Comedian Lorne Elliott performing The Upside of the Downturn at the Centre Stage Theatre in Summerland at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 and available at Martin’s Flowers and the Dragon’s Den. A portion of the proceeds will go towards the creation of the annual George Ryga award for Social Awareness in B.C. writing and Publishing to be awarded in the spring of 2013.
Oct. 18 — Kitchen Stove Film Series kicks off with Beasts of the Southern Wild at the Landmark 7 Cinema. Limited seats at door for $15, or purchase tickets at the Penticton Art Gallery or The Book Store.
Oct. 18 to 22 —South Okanagan Amateur Players present The Long Weekend by Norm Foster at the Cannery Stage. Showtimes are 8 p.m. and tickets are $18 at Dragon’s Den. Oct. 19 to 21 — We Love Documentary — a three-day film festival at the Shatford Centre. Featuring Chasing Ice, a double-bill of Bone Wind Fire and Koop and Nomadak TX. Tickets are $10 each, or $28 for a set of three, available at The Book Store, Shatford Centre office or at the door the day of the show.
Oct. 20 — For the 13th year the Community Foundation of the South Okanagan is hosting a comedy festival. This year they have comedians David Crowe and Matt Kirshen and Alonzo Bodde, who were on the TV show Last Comic Standing. Tickets are $60 and include all three acts plus dinner at the Barking Parrot.
