CONCERTS

April 6 — It’s gone country at Tug’s TapHouse every first Saturday from April to August featuring Rob n’ Walker. No cover.

April 6 — The Tom Waters Trio, a spirited group of musicians oozing jazz and blues from their pours, performs at the Dream Café. Show is at 8 p.m. Tickets are $38 for premium seats and $28 for the wings.

April 7 — Local favourite, Tavis Weir will play at Cannery Brewing from 6 to 8 p.m., no cover charge. Bring a friend, enjoy the good things in life.

April 9 — Theresa Caputo from TLC’s hit show Long Island Medium is appearing live at the South Okanagan Events Centre. Tickets will be available by phone at 1-877-763-2849, in person at the Valley First Box Office at the SOEC or online at www.valleyfirsttix.com.

April 10 — The Tannahill Weavers are one of Scotland’s premier traditional bands and they are performing at the Dream Café. Tickets are $41 for premium seats and $31 for the wings. Show is at 8 p.m.

April 14 — Canadian singer and songwriter Justin Koshman will perform at Cannery Brewing from 6 to 8 p.m., no cover charge. Justin’s blend of rock and folk music, with a splash of beach rock, is the perfect way to extend your Okanagan Fest of Ale weekend.

April 17 — Head to Cannery Brewing for a night of music with Antonio Larosa. Antonio is a singer-songwriter from Burnaby. He draws his inspiration from acts such as Elvis Presley, Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson, Eric Clapton and the Allman Brothers Band. His debut solo album called Steadfast, is his truest and most personal project to date. Music will run from 7 to 9 p.m., by donation (suggested $10).

April 20 — Keremeos’ very own country-rock band Rob n’ Walker are playing a high-energy mix of country, classic rock and originals at the Mile Zero Wine Bar. Tickets are $10.

April 21 — Oliver’s Bianca Berkland will be performing at Cannery Brewing from 6 to 8 p.m., no cover charge.

April 23 — Blending art, technology, music and comedy for a quarter century, the world-renowned Blue Man Group is bringing their magic to the South Okanagan Events Centre. Tickets will be available by phone at 1-877-763-2849, in person at the Valley First Box Office at the SOEC or online at www.valleyfirsttix.com.

April 27 — Grammy nominated Danish band Volbeat co headline with Godsmack at the South Okanagan Events Centre.

EVENTS

Sundays – Shades on Main has an acoustic open stage every Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. in their coffee room. Synchronized by Matt Duffus, there will be a guitar and bass on hand and musician and guest specials.

Until May 12 — The Penticton Art Gallery exhibition featuring renowned lighting artist Bentley Meeker.

April 5 to 7 — The BC Interior RV Show takes place at the South Okanagan Events Centre campus. There will be over 30 vendors of RVs, products and services and educational workshops. Doors open on Friday at noon with a short opening ceremony with dignitaries taking place at 12:45 p.m.

April 6 — Comedian Chris Gordon delivers a dynamic interactive experience at the Craft Corner Kitchen. Gordon will be joined by host Matt Baker and featured comedians Zawer Sulaiman and Phil Maynard. Tickets are $15 in advance, or $20 at the door. Doors open at 7 p.m. Show is at 8 p.m. Show is recommended for ages 19 and older.

April 9 — Canadian Wrestling’s Elite returns to Penticton at the Luso Canadian Multicultural Society (135 Winnipeg St.) Bell time is 7 p.m. and tickets are $21 at the door. Six man tag team attraction match, CWE championship match, women’s wrestling tag team match, triple threat match and much more.

April 10 — Join Joe Wiebe, aka the Thirsty Writer, for Every Beer Has A Story. Spend the evening sipping beer and chatting with Wiebe about some of his favourite beers from B.C. and the stories behind them. Tickets (on Eventbrite) are $30 or $25 for CAMRA members. Talk is at Bad Tattoo Brewing.

April 10 — The Penticton Lions is hosting a Texas Hold’em charity poker tournament at The Copper Mug starting at 6 p.m. Tickets are $60.

April 11 to May 4 — Many Hats Theatre Co. presents The Odd Couple (female version). Tickets are $25 for adults, $22 for students and seniors (GST included) and can be purchased at Eventbrite. Performances are Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.

April 12 — The Penticton Public Library hosts Learning at Lunch: Westward Ho! Come with Jerry and Linda on their 4,671 kilometres drive, condensed to a 45 minute illustrated talk. Talk is from noon to 1 p.m.

April 12 and 13 — Okanagan Fest of Ale returns bigger and better with over 200 craft beers and artisanal ciders form 75 B.C.-based craft breweries and ciders. Great food, entertainment, onsite attractions, education stations and a pop-up liquor shop. For more information visit www.festofale.ca.

April 18 — Penticton Art Gallery presents Kitchen Stove Films at Landmark Cinemas. Showing at 4 and 7 p.m. In the film Sir, a young widow works as domestic live-in help for an architect from an affluent family who appears to have it all while she appears to have nothing. Tickets are $13 in advance or $15 at the door.
