Sept. 6 — Brent Tyler performs at Slackwater Brewing from 7 to 9 p.m.

Sept. 7 — Tim Hurley and Max Jones, a reggae and Bob Marley tribute, perform at Slackwater Brewing from 7 to 9 p.m. They are followed by Jack & Jill (unplugged) from 9:15 to 11 p.m.
Sept. 8 — Aaron Loewen is back at Cannery Brewing for another night of music. Loewen will entertain from 6-8 p.m., no cover charge.
Sept. 8 — Antler’s Surf ‘Pop-up Shop’ performs at Slackwater Brewing from 2 to 6 p.m.
Sept. 10 — Head to Cannery Brewing for a vinyl night from 7 to 9 p.m. No cover. DJ Spill will be spinning an all-vinyl set with a mix of tunes from the 50s to the 80s, spanning many different genres.
Sept. 11 — Tim and The Glory Boys with the Buffalo Roadshow — multiple Juno, Dove and Covenant award-winning artists, perform at the Venables Theatre in Oliver at 7 p.m. Tickets range from $11.99 to $40.
Sept. 14 — Country Icons: a tribute to Alan Jackson, Waylon Jennings and Merle Haggard at the Cleland Community Theatre. Tickets are $49.
Sept. 14 – Award-winning chanteuse Edie Daponte brings Edith Piaf to life for an unforgettable evening of music and entertainment inspired by Paris at the Venables Theatre in Oliver. Tickets are $38.
Sept. 15 — Yakub T. Coyote will be performing at Cannery Brewing from 6-8 p.m., no cover charge.
Sept. 17 — Head to Cannery Brewing for a night of music with Rollin’ Coal. Come listen and enjoy as this local band plays the blues. Music will be from 7-9 p.m. Suggested $10 donation.
Sept. 20 — Relieve the music of the 50s and 60s with a rock opera musical concert with a Broadway feel — performing hits from Patti Page, Dean Martin, Fats Domino to The Platters, Elvis, Ritchie Valens and more. Sept. 21 — Widely acclaimed for their live performances, Ghost will hit the stage at the South Okanagan Events Centre. The show is at 7:30 p.m. Tickets available at the Valley First Box Office at the SOEC or online at ValleyFirstTix.com.
Sept. 22 — Cannery Brewing is the place to be as Bruce Flett will be playing from 6-8 p.m., no cover.
Sept. 24 — A concert celebration of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s 70th birthday — Music of the Night the concert tour brings selections from Phantom of the Opera, Evita, Cats, Jesus Christ Superstar, Sunset Blvd. and more to the stage. Tickets are $45 for seniors and $35 for students. The show is at 7:30 p.m. at the Cleland Theatre.

September — The Penticton Tune-Agers choir rehearsals from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Tuesday’s starting on Sept. 10. The orchestra rehearses on Thursday’s from 10 a.m. to noon starting on Sept. 12. Anyone who is over 50 and enjoys singing or playing music is invited. Rehearsals are at Penticton United Church (696 Main St.).
Until Sept. 28 — Many Hats Theatre Co. presents Rapture, Blister, Burn. Opening night reception with wine and snacks and second-night reception on Sept. 6 featuring local craft beer. Shows will be Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.
Sept. 6 to 8 — The Penticton Dragon Boat Festival takes place along Skaha Lake. The event features racing, beverage garden with proceeds going to Survivorship, vendors, food and entertainment.
Sept. 7 — The Dominion Radio Astrophysical Observatory (717 White Lake Rd., Kaleden) is hosting an open house to celebrate the groundbreaking radio astronomy work done there. Tour the facility, learn about the exciting plans for future telescopes, hear lectures on frontier topics in astronomy and more. Family event with lots of activities for kids. Admission is free. Gates open at 10 a.m. and close at 5 p.m.
Sept. 10 — The South Okanagan Similkameen Brain Injury Society hosts The Human Condition Comedy Tour at Bar One. The tour features three comedians (Shawn Gramiak, Scott Porteous and Nadine Hunt). The event starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25.
Sept. 14 — Thrash Wrestling presents Revolution BC, a tournament for the new B.C. Interior Championship at the Luso Canadian Multicultural Society (135 Winnipeg St.). The show is at 7:30 p.m. and Tickets are $15 or four for $50. Meet the wrestlers after the show.
Sept. 22 — The eighth annual Okanagan Vinyl Fest takes place at the Penticton Seniors Drop-In Centre welcoming vendors selling vinyl and other forms of music and new and used audio equipment.
Sept. 25 — PDCAC is holding a call for artists for the upcoming fall show Magic & Mystery. Drop off is on Sept. 25 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Opening night and reception is Sept. 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31 is the second opening from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Sept. 26 — Pecha Kucha at Cannery Brewing. Tickets will be available in early September, be sure to get yours as this event always sells out.
Sept. 28 — The Comic Strippers, a male stripper parody and improv comedy show, returns to Penticton at the Cleland Community Theatre. Tickets are $39 (plus applicable service fees) and can be purchased at the community centre or call 1-800-838-3006.
Oct. 3 to 7 — Naramata Arts Studio presents its 21st annual Fall Art Show at the Community Church in Naramata. Join the artists on Oct. 3 from 4 to 7 p.m. for their opening reception.
