Sept. 30 — Linnea Good is an acclaimed singer/songwriter who entertains audiences of all ages. Her songs of faith and spirit will be performed at the Oasis United Church as a fundraiser for the church from 7 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance (purchased at the church) and $20 at the door. The concert is free for those under the age of 18.

Oct. 6 —Juno winning, genre-blurring, five-piece indie band Digging Roots at the Dream Café. Tickets are $41 for premium seats and $26 for wings.

Sept. 29 to Oct. 2 — The Naramata Arts Studio is holding their 19th annual exhibition and sale at the Naramata Community Church Hall, Robinson and Third Street. Opening reception on Sept. 28 from 4 to 7 p.m. and the show is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., except for Sunday, noon to 6 p.m.
Sept. 30 — Oliver Cask and Keg at Oliver Community Park featuring local cideries, breweries and distilleries. Live music by The Big Easy Funk Ensemble, food trucks and vendors. Sept. 30 — Garlic Festival at Hester Creek Winery from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Artisan crafters, food carts, live entertainment and 20 local garlic growers. Admission by donation with proceeds to support the Oliver Elementary School Farm to Table lunch program.
Oct. 1 — The team that brought Penti-Con presents Zombie Walk and Games from 1 to 4 p.m. at Gyro Park. Zombies can take part in a classic potato sack race, 50-metre lurch and other fun carnival games. Put on your best zombie face to compete and win. Entry to the games area is $5, play as much as you want for awesome prizes.
Oct. 1 — Okanagan Vinyl Festival from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Vendors and lovers of vintage vinyl and other musical paraphernalia will be at the Senior’s Drop In Centre on South Main Street. Admission is $2 and all proceeds from the event support community radio in Penticton. Early bird hour is $5 and starts at 9 a.m.
Oct. 1 — Festival of the Grape at the Oliver Community Park from noon to 5 p.m. Over 50 wineries, food trucks, art show and sale, grape stomp, kids zone, live music and more. Tickets are $25 in advance at www.oliverfestivalofthegrape.ca or $30 at the gate.
Oct. 6 and 7 — Visit B.C.’s largest wine tasting and farmers market at Cropped at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre. Featuring over 80 wineries and an indoor farmers market complete with live musical buskers, cheeses, blind pinot bar and more. Tickets are $72.45 for one day and $115.50 for a weekend pass.
