Teenage Kicks is opening for The Glorious Sons, March 23 to play at Fernando’s.
Teenage Kicks new album, Spoils Of Youth, comes out late April on Rezolute Music.
Digging Up Old Bones, the first single from the eagerly anticipated new album, was serviced to Alternative and Rock radio across the country in February.
Have a listen to the track, which features the van Helvoort brothers at their best. Check out the lyric video for Digging Up Old Bones.
The video starts off by playing into every cliche about the way love feels in its infancy, but as the sentiments in the song begin to waiver, so too do the images on the screen, showing how volatile and irrational love can sometimes be. Think of it as a glass half full / half empty scenario.
Playing in bands together was inevitable for brothers Peter and Jeff van Helvoort, as there were few like-minded musicians in the small town where they grew up. As a result, people began to see a lasting connection between the two that has persisted from the first band they formed together 10 years ago, to present day Teenage Kicks, but has never been as apparent as it is on the group’s debut full-length album.
Spoils of Youth represents the van Helvoorts’ continued aspiration to produce music that is true to themselves and to the music they’ve always loved; songs rife with honesty, integrity, and truth.
