“The vast territories of northern Quebec and Ontario contain a wealth of mineral resources,” says a promo of the the 52-minute documentary by Richard Desjardins and Robert Monderie. “For more than 100 years, they have been controlled by private companies governed by Canada’s Mining Act, which takes precedence over all other legislation. This film explores the history of how these resources have been used, and the battles that have ensued.”
