The life and music of John Lennon celebrated

Sid Williams Theatre Tuesday, Nov. 8

Following its Off-Broadway New York success, and acclaimed UK season at The Epstein Theatre in Liverpool, Lennon – Through a Glass Onion is a celebration of the genius, music and phenomenon of John Lennon.

Part concert and part biography,  Lennon – Through a Glass Onion reveals the true essence of the life and astonishing talent of one of the world’s most recognized voices and treasured icons.

Inspired by the song Glass Onion, which was John Lennon’s postscript to The Beatles, this show peels away the layers of time and myth to offer insight into the icon.

The presentation features a catalogue of Lennon’s greatest songs including Woman and Jealous Guy, as well as his collaborations with Paul McCartney, including A Day in the Life, Strawberry Fields Forever, Revolution, and Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, among others.

Daniel Taylor is fittingly cast as John Lennon, having been born, raised and currently residing in Liverpool.

Taylor trained at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London, and is a highly-respected singer/songwriter who has played sell-out gigs all over the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Taylor’s critically-acclaimed first album The Party Is Over is available on I-Tunes and Spotify as Danny Taylor Music.

Stewart D’Arrietta (keyboard, vocals and co-creator) recently enjoyed a nine-month New York run of his Tom Waits show, Belly of a Drunken Piano. Last January, D’Arrietta was the musical director for The White Album Concert by the Beatles, performing on stage at the world famous Sydney Opera House with 15 other high-profile artists.

Other musical director/performer/composer credits include Cafe Brel, Reunion and Satango.
