The Small Glories play in Langley Friday night

Folk duo to perform at Bez Arts Hub

Folk powerhouse pair The Small Glories will be playing at Langley’s Bez Arts Hub this Friday (July 14) at 8 p.m.

The dynamic duo of Cara Luft and JD Edwards play constrasting styles, with Luft’s folkie yin providing a perfect match for Edwards’ rocker yang. The two began playing together accidently, after they were thrown together for an anniversary show in Winnipeg.

Their 2016 debut album “Wondrous Traveler” is steeped in classic song structure, delivering appealing melodic Americana with first-rate playing. The album was nominated for two Canadian Folk Music Awards: English Songwriter of the Year and New Artist/Group of the Year.

Tickets for their Langley show are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Puchase online on Eventbrite.

Bez Arts Hub is located at 20230 64 Ave.
