Theatre Festival offers two plays for the price of one

Special 2-for-1 ticket offering for Kelowna Summer Theatre Festival's productions of [title of show] and Private Eyes.

Kelowna’s only professional repertory theatre company launched its second production of the summer, Private Eyes, to rave reviews from the audience after the opening night show on July 25.

Performed at Kelowna Summer Theatre Festival’s outdoor venue at the Rotary Centre for the Arts under clear skies on a beautiful evening, Private Eyes joined the delightful musical theatre offering [title of show] as a perfect complement to the Festival’s 2013 program.

One audience member from opening night enthused: “It was so much fun, and so well done and confusing and hilarious at the same time.”

To match the excitement of the evening, and fulfill the mandate of KSTF to make professional theatre accessible to all, the Theatre Festival has also launched a special 2 for 1 ticket offering for the balance of the shows this summer.

KSTF president Peter Kascak, expressed the theatre’s desire “… to share this unique Okanagan evening experience with the entire community. We know from audience and membership feedback, that the current economic situation is keeping many of our regular audience members at home, so we thought we would create a gift, in addition to the two great shows, for the 22 years of support the community has shown us.”

In addition to tickets to the show, the company is offering the opportunity to purchase gourmet picnics, provided by Basket Case Picnics, to complement theperfect Okanagan evening.

Artistic director Neal Facey and the cast have created two high caliber shows that are at once funny and intelligent. “Check us out!” Facey adds, “and see what we’re all about.”

Performances are on the Outdoor Stage in front of the Rotary Centre near the foot of Cawston Avenue, starting at 8 p.m. every evening Tuesday through Sunday until Aug. 11.

As the shows run in repertory, specific dates can be found on the company’s website www.kelownasummertheatrefestival.com.

Tickets are available at the door, or from the website.
