TheatreOne’s Fringe Flick series continues Sunday and Monday (March 12-13) at Avalon Cinema.
The theatre company presents Maliglutit (The Searchers) by filmmaker Zacharias Kunuk, who also created the film Atanarjuat: The Fast Runner.
Kunuk was inspired by the classic western The Searchers about a husband who pursues a group of men who kidnapped his wife. Kunuk’s revenge story is about a man who crosses the barren Arctic in pursuit of marauders who ransacked his home and kidnapped his wife.
Tickets are $13 available at www.theatreone.org or one hour before show time at Avalon Cinema, located in Woodgrove Centre. The shows are Sunday at 1, 4 and 7 p.m. and Monday at 7 p.m.
