Thrash Wrestling hosts charity brawl in Penticton for B.C. Children’s Hospital

All ages wrestling show at the Penticton Legion on Saturday with proceed donated to B.C. Children's Hospital.

It has been three months since pro-wrestling shook the Legion hall in Penticton and at last the crew of Thrash Wrestling has returned for more bumps and bruises. On

July 14 they’re back and for a good cause. The show is a charity brawl and proceeds from this event will be donated to the B.C. Children’s Hospital. All the wrestlers are donating their grappling skills to the cause on this night, even the Thrash Wrestling champion “Greased Lightning” Ronnie Angel, who’s normally only out to benefit himself, has agreed to put his belt on the line in the main event of the evening.

Headlining the show; Ronnie Angel will be defending his championship against “Slave,” a man who nearly hospitalized him in the last event at the Legion as well as the former TW champion “The Black Dragon” in a triple threat match. These two men have a big problem with the champ and are both looking for revenge as well as wrapping the gold around their own waist at the end of the night.

Another big title match scheduled for the evening is Ronnie Angel’s partner in crime; the Okanagan/Interior Champion “The Real Karate Kid” Danny Knightmare is putting his belt on the line against another former champion — the much larger “Unholy Minion.” He has just recovered from a knee injury from last March when, in a Vernon event in May, the injured knee was re-aggravated by a series low kicks by Danny Knightmare. Now up and ready to go, the “Unholy Minion” is set out for revenge on his cocky American opponent.

Apart from the two title matches another feud between two bitter rivals will be taking place between “The Canadian Classic” Collin Cutler aka “C4” and the big mouth of Thrash Wrestling; the arrogant, outspoken “Top Drawer” Michael More. It was just one year ago that these two men were tearing the house down in a fierce rivalry over the Thrash Wrestling title, a match fans won’t mind at all to see revived.

A Battle of the masked men has also been booked as part of the line-up. The “West Coast Warrior” will take on the “Silver Assassin,” two relative newcomers to the ring bringing their all in two different wrestling styles. The “West Coast Warrior” brings a fast paced assault of chops and agile technical wrestling while the much lumbering “Silver Assassin” is known more for smash mouth brawling and occasional rule breaking.

The doors open at the Legion hall at 6:30 p.m. and show time for this special event is 7 p.m. sharp. Event organizers said bring your signs and lose your voice at this insane wrestling event guaranteed to be a great time for all ages. Tickets are on sale in advance for $10 at The Grooveyard and at the Legion, or for $12 at the door the night of the event. Meet and greet with the wrestlers afterwards at The Elite.
