The Old School House Arts Centre in Qualicum Beach has announced its winners for the Federation of Canadian Artists 25th Anniversary Juried Exhibition.
First place was awarded to Lois Goodnough for her acrylic on canvas called ‘A Spray of Stargazers.’
Second place was awarded to Therese M Johnston for her mixed media piece titled ‘Family Reunion.’ Third place went to Janice Evans for her acrlic on canvas work titled ‘Cementing Relations.’

Two pieces won honourable mentions; another work of mixed media by Johnston titled ‘The Wise Ones,’ and Dawne Brandel for her acrylic on canvas piece titled ‘Pretty in Pink.’
TOSH hosted a live Zoom opening presentation and award ceremony on Oct.14. In the pre-award discussion with Ann Lihou and Birgit Coath, show coordinator, Coath spoke about connection of TOSH and the Arrowsmith Chapter of the FCA.
For those who would like to vote on their favourite in the exhibition, they can do so online at the TOSH website. The winner will be announced on Nov. 18, live through Zoom, with more details to come closer to the date.
