Talk about a Christmas gift in August: The trailer for “Bad Santa 2” is out, and Surrey-raised actor Brett Kelly returns as lovable loser Thurman Merman.
The sequel to the 2003 comedy, which starred Billy Bob Thornton as a hard-drinking, foul-mouthed mall Santa, hits theatres on Nov. 23.
Kelly, now 22, was just eight years old when he filmed “Bad Santa,” which has become something of a cult Christmas classic.
See the “Bad Santa 2” trailer below – but be warned, the language and content is definitely NSFW (not suitable for work).
The Now last interviewed Kelly for a feature story in 2013.
“Filming ‘Bad Santa’ was really where I learned everything that I knew at that point about movies,” he said at the time.
“That was really the first big thing that I had done.”

Kelly added he frequently gets asked about hearing so much on-screen foul language at such a young age, but said the coarse language didn’t affect him much.
“I’m probably fairly disturbed from the movie, I just haven’t realized it yet,” he told Now contributor Jacob Zinn with a laugh.
