Trooper, one of Canada’s top-selling bands, will “Raise a Little Hell” at this summer’s Rockin’ River Music Festival, the Fraser Valley’s biggest party.
Rockin’ Riverfest, which runs Thursday to Saturday Aug. 15-17 at Mission Raceway Park, will feature Trooper headlining Thursday, Brad Paisley (Mud On the Tires) headlining Friday, and Big and Rich (Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy) headlining Saturday.
“We’re excited to add one of Canada’s favourite bands to the biggest party the Valley has ever seen,” concert organizer Kenny Hess says. “ Trooper is a party band and a perfect fit for the Rockin’ River kickoff party.”
Trooper’s ten studio albums have earned multiple gold and platinum awards and their 6 X Platinum greatest hits, Hot Shots, continues to be one of Universal Music Canada’s best selling catalog CDs and one of the country’s most enduring party soundtracks.
Trooper songs (We’re Here for a Good Time, Raise a Little Hell, The Boys in the Bright White Sportscar, Two For the Show, Pretty Lady Good Ol’ General Hand Grenade) have woven their way into the fabric of this country
Last month Rockin’ River announced 2011 American Country Awards Breakthrough Artist of the Year Chris Young (I Can Take It From There) will join the Rockin’ River lineup that also includes Joe Nichols (Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off).
“Paisley is one of the world’s top country acts and having him at Mission Raceway will be the Lower Mainland’s top country show of the year,” says Hess (Becca Fly), who will also perform.
