Naughty zombies are steaming up the stage Friday night in Nanaimo.
The burlesque troupe Naughty and Spice hosts Girls Gone Dead, the troupe’s fourth annual Halloween event.
Naughty and Spice’s Halloween Extravaganza features music by Dead Man’s Trio; guest performances by Jemma Riot, River Wilde and Nymh Fete; vendors and more.
People are encouraged to wear costumes to win prizes.
“It’s just going to be funny, it’s sexy,” said Vampish Heart, a member of the troupe. “If you are looking for something to do this is the place to be and you will be fully entertained.”
She said the troupe is really excited to share the routines the girls have been working on.
The troupe is partnering with the Spirit of Halloween store, located at 6461 Metral Dr., and the Spice Lounge to raise money for the B.C. Children’s Hospital. The store is donating a portion of the money from costume sales to the hospital. The troupe is donating $1 from every ticket and the Spice Lounge is donating $2 for people that come to the after-party and show their ticket stub.
“Everyone is jumping on board to help make this show a huge success and benefit the hospital as well. It’s been amazing,” said Vampish Heart.
Girls Gone Dead is Friday (Oct. 26). Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. After the show people are invited to attend the Spice Lounge after-party.
Tickets are $25 at the door or $20 in advance available at Culture, at Woodgrove Centre, My Undies or online at www.naughtyandspiceburlesque.com.
