Those who were not able to score a ticket to see Tony Bennett at Mission Hill Family Estate Winery in West Kelowna Aug. 1 don’t despair, a second concert has been added on Aug. 2.
Tickets for the Aug. 1 show sold out within 20 minutes of them going on sale, said Anthony von Mandl, Mission Hill Family Estate proprietor.
“We couldn’t believe the demand for the concerts this year; people were literally clamouring to get tickets,” said von Mandl. “We reached out to Mr. Bennett’s management team to see if he was available for a second performance and I am thrilled that he has agreed to perform two concerts at Mission Hill Family Estate this summer which are currently the only dates he has scheduled to perform in Canada in 2014.”
This will be Bennett’s first ever Okanagan appearance in the intimate setting of the winery’s 1,000-seat outdoor amphitheatre.
Tickets for the second performance go on sale today (Friday, May 2) at 10 a.m. and are expected to once again sell out quickly.
Also this summer, the Gipsy Kings’ 25th anniversary tour stops Aug. 24.
