Thousands of books, DVDs and records available at 29th annual sale

The Canadian Federation of University Women / PQ are just about done sorting through thousands of books, DVDs and records for the organization’s 29th annual book sale. “There really are some fantastic buys,” said Miller. According to Brown, items will sell for a range of prices, but most will cost $2-5. All proceeds from the sale will go toward bursaries for high school graduates and older women returning to post-secondary school. After the sale, unsold books will be picked up by a reseller from Vancouver instead of going to the transfer station. “The club is delighted that we don’t have to dump the excess books,” said Brown. The sale will take place in the banquet room at Morningstar Golf Club Oct. 24 and 25 from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and Oct. 26 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
