Valley romance author inspired by Honeymoon Bay

Judith Hudson, Cowichan valley writer and artist, is releasing Summer of Fortune on June 17

Judith Hudson, Cowichan valley writer and artist, is releasing Summer of Fortune on June 17, the first printed book in a series of small-town romance novels set in the Pacific Northwest.

“I’ve been working on the series for eight years,” she said. “It’s very exciting to see the books in print.

Hudson is offering Lake of Days, the series prequel novella, free as an eBook on her website.

Her experiences living in Honeymoon Bay gave her subject matter: a single mother, a photographer, at a crossroads, moves into a cabin on the lake.

“The idea stuck with me and the Fortune Bay series grew from there,” she said. “Some of the characters live in the iconic March Farm, a log building I’ve photographed many times that I couldn’t resist using in the story.”

After June 17 the first two books will be available in eBook and paperback form. Find out more at her website: www.JudithHudsonAuthor.com.
