Vegas experience comes to Mission

The City of Bright Lights is featured in a performance on Saturday, Nov. 17 at Clarke Foundation Theatre.

On Saturday night, you can experience Las Vegas without having to leave the Fraser Valley.

The Viva Las Vegas Spectacular is coming to Missions’s Clarke Foundation Theatre on Nov. 17, and promises to take its audience on a journey to the “City of Bright Lights.”

The show combines  song and dance with all the razzle-dazzle you would expect from a Vegas-style performance.

The public can watch some of the  best celebrity impersonators, including  former World Elvis Champion Darren Lee.

Lee has just finished 11 record-breaking years performing nightly at the Stratosphere Hotel & Casino’s American Superstars show, making him the longest running Elvis tribute in the history of the Las Vegas strip.

He will be joined by “Magically Marilyn” whose charm, quick wit and song and dance will be a crowd pleaser.

Also on hand for the show are the Premier Showgirls of Las Vegas in spectacular costumes and dazzling choreography as seen on Top Chef Las Vegas and the new Dennis Quaid CBS series Vegas.

Rounding out the cast is the Las Vegas-style illusions of Steven Best and Cassandra, who are also coming off a four-year Vegas engagement and were featured on the Pawn Stars segment at the 2011 NHL Awards.

The Viva Las Vegas Spectacular takes place at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $35.

They are available by phone at 778-574-3050, at www.ticketweb.ca or at Shoppers Drug Mart, 32530 Lougheed Hwy.
