Virgil Caine is the newest musical project for James Taylor and Charlie Veaudry.

And its a new musical duo that is set to hit the Spinners Sound Centre stage Dec. 9 at 7:30 p.m.

Taylor and Veaudry first met more than 10 years ago at neighbourhood jams with other musical friends. Over the years, these jam sessions developed into a keen interest to explore a blend of their musical styles. Both are intrigued to delve into what happens when you take a contemporary, rock/jazz/blues electric lead guitar and play it over top of the solid rhythm style of a country/folk/bluegrass guitar, complete with vocal harmonies for extra fun.

Coming from almost 10 years with The Goods, Taylor is always keen to explore some new sounds.

Veaudry who spent almost 20 years on and off touring and playing locally with Canadian Whitewater Bluegrass Band is also looking forward to digging in to some fresh sounds.

Virgil Caine has been performing locally now for almost a year entertaining music lovers at coffee houses, fundraisers, house concerts and private parties with their lively renditions of a wide variety of song styles from the ’60s to the ’90s.

Tickets are available for $15 at Spinners Sound Centre.
