A few pieces of art have started to arrive for Gallery Vertigo’s annual Almost Famous exhibition and auction.
However, more replicas of famous works are needed for the gallery’s main fundraiser of the year.
“Works in all mediums are welcome. Time is growing short. We need your entries by July 23 for the exhibition, or by August 20 for the auction only,” said Allison Griswold, Vertigo’s new Almost Famous chairperson.
The gallery is also working on securing a new venue for this year’s auction.
“Our own gallery space has grown too small for this event which continues to attract larger and larger numbers of people,” said Griswold.
“The Mackie House Society graciously offered their house and grounds, but due to the additional costs involved in hosting this as an outdoor event, we find it necessary to consider other possible indoor venues.”
Vertigo will announce the location as soon as one is found.
