It’s been a year since members of the Toronto Dance Theatre spent an extended amount of time in Victoria. The troupe returns triumphantly this weekend to perform “Pteros Tactics: The Instant of Desire,” a dance conceived partly while the company members were in residence in the city.Choreographed by Christopher House, Pteros Tactics premiered last February at Toronto’s Fleck Dance Theatre. House and company had developed the work in Dance Victoria’s studios and the McPherson Playhouse. The vibrant, playful piece portrays “the instant of desire” as described by author Anne Carson in Eros the Bittersweet.”Tickets for the Saturday and Sunday shows (Feb. 26 and 27, both 7:30 p.m. at the McPherson) are $52 and $38 and are available at the Mac box office in Centennial Square or online at www.rmts.bc.ca.
